Great Falls National Park

Great Falls Virginia Recently, I ventured out into the wilderness of Virginia to log a hike. What’s great is not only was it fun but I got to check off one more state in my quest to hike at least once in all 50 states.

I picked Great Falls because it was one of the closest hikes according to the AllTrails app. What I was not aware of is how insanely popular this place is! The road that leads to the park was crammed. It took about 30 minutes to drive about 2 miles. There were literally hundreds of people there. On a hike back home, I’m used to seeing (maybe) a few dozen people at most.

Nevertheless, it was worth the wait. Here are some pictures of the sights. Enjoy!

Oh, and beware the evil squirrels!

  1. You are quite the adventurer!  But remember, a Jedi craves not those things.

That snake would freak me out.  I’m not really a hiker, I’d prefer to bike to cover more distance, but that looks fun.
