This picture is a compilation of some of my hiking adventures in 2009. Some were with my friend Aaron and some were solo-hikes. Locations in the picture include Silver Star Mountain, Coyote Wall, Lava Canyon, Cooper’s Spur, Dog Mountain, and Angel’s Rest. All of them are great hikes with amazing views. Dog Mountain was the most challenging hike. It’s used by mountaineers as a conditioning hike. The only downside to Dog Mountain is that it gets busy when the weather is nice.
Some of these hikes I had done multiple times in the past. But a few were new to me, such as Cooper’s Spur and Dog Mountain.
The Columbia River Gorge features dozens of trails and a plethora of stunning, scenic views. It’s one of my favorite places to hike.
Since 2009, I’ve hiked in many other states as part of my goal to hike in every state in America.
As part of another goal, I moved abroad in 2013 and I’m currently living in Suwon, South Korea. If you don’t know, hiking in Korea is hugely popular. It’s been a lot of fun exploring all the mountains here.
Update: Since 2014 I’ve been living in Yangzhou, China. There are very few mountains nearby so my hiking adventures are on a haitus, which is sad. I’ve only hiked two small mountains so far.
